Gürsoy Roasted Giresun Chubby Hazelnut with Geographical Indication

Giresun Tombul Hazelnut is obtained by roasting the hazelnut kernels, which have a maximum moisture content of 3% and whose shells are removed by cracking, and removing the outer membranes.

Origin: Turkey

It is the most important hazelnut variety grown in Turkey. It is widely grown in Giresun province. The very good quality of the fruit has made Turkish hazelnuts sought after in the international market. The plum hazelnut variety, which shows periodicity, gives regular and very high yields every year in good and well-kept garden conditions. It is a temperate climate fruit type. Its unique taste and flavor and its unique aroma are the features that distinguish Giresun Tombul Hazelnut from other hazelnut varieties. It is brown, shiny, lobed and slightly hairy at the tip. Fat ratio is between 69-72%. The inner fruit membranes, which are important in storage and transportation, are easily peeled and suitable for whitening.
